THE ORGANISERS

The 2 Days Later Short Film Competiton was co-founded by Mick Etherton and Chris Cordwell of Beeping Bush Productions in partnership with Jean Lynch of Close-Up Film.

Today, the competition is still run by Mick and Chris who have developed relationships with local filmmakers, film festivals and cinema audiences whilst establishing connections with local media and KCC Film Unit who actively promote the 2 Days Later Competition on a national scale.

BEEPING BUSH PRODUCTIONS

Beeping Bush Productions is the production arm of Beeping Bush Ltd; a pioneering (Industrial and Provident status) not-for–profit digital arts & media organisation, that is a Screen South Community Network Film Partner for Kent & Medway, supported by UK Film Council.

Based in The Community Pharmacy Gallery since 2002, in the heart of Margate’s historic old town cultural quarter, the production services offer professional digital media services and training for the community. The company has produced a variety of community based, educational and commercial digital media productions and provides vocational training and arts exhibition space for local individuals, organisations, charities, and educational authorities.

We are the first point contact for grass roots filmmaking providing equipment hire and filmmaking workshops, production and technical advice, and sourcing production funding opportunities for Kent & Medway based filmmakers.
