In 2002 Chris moved back to Margate and formed a partnership with Mick Etherton at Beeping Bush Ltd. He provided design and technological direction for Beeping Bush Productions and began working as a video editor and DVD producer. He also gained experience as 2nd cameraman, sound recordist and graphic designer on a number of short and feature length films and documentary projects including being a graphic designer for The Margate EXODUS (a Film4 feature filmed in Thanet).
Chris now works within the rapid and dynamic environment of digital video and design both for Beeping Bush Ltd and as a freelancer.His portfolio of media projects includes documentaries, short films, DVDs, motion graphics, print and web design. Chris has also taught and co-assessed Degree and Master students on visual screen design, experimental sound theory and DVD authoring.
Chris co-Founded the 2 Days Later Short Film Competition in 2003, alongside Mick Etherton of Beeping Bush and Jean Lynch of Close-Up Film. His key roles are the look and feel of the competition, the promotional branding in its many forms, and the screen design and technical aspects of the Hallowe'en screening. One of the new additional roles for Chris was to design the prize posters from the shortlisted films for this year's Awards Ceremony.
Chris has a passion for fine art, films, football and digital media in its many forms and disguises, and can be seen regularly chained to his computer emanating strange gurgling noises that he calls sound design.
