In Stereoscopic, from Scotland to Switzerland!
East Kent digital-media company Beeping Bush is celebrating the seventh anniversary of The 2 Days Later 2009 Short Horror Filmmaking Competition. 236 films have been made especially for the competitions; this year, film entries have come in from as far as Scotland to Switzerland!
AND…
The first UK produced festival 3D short horror film, Shortcut, follows the 3D misfortunes of a girl walking home with only her mobile phone for company! Produced by Canterbury filmmakers, Rosie Escort and Philip Benedict.
Once again, 2 Days Later has proven to be a hotbed of talent for Kent filmmakers. This year over 900 worldwide internet downloads for the competition brief, have resulted in a record 59 film submissions, including two new horrific delights from Switzerland.
Involving over 600 bloodthirsty filmmakers, 33 films were produced in the Screen South film region, with 22 gruesome productions actually made in Kent. Other home-groaned films came from Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Aberdeen, Glasgow and North & South Wales. Two independent Swiss film crews are specially flying over to Thanet to swell the expectant 440 capacity Halloween audience at The Theatre Royal Margate.
